Spot on for Dogs is suitable for both preventing and killing fleas and ticks on your pet.
Using Bob Martin Spot On for Dogs regularly, together with regular vacuuming/washing of your pets bedding and resting areas is recommended for the most effective pest control.
Our Clear Spot on will kill ticks, causing them to fall off within 24-48 hours. For protection against ticks the solution should be applied every 4 weeks.
Advice on Babesiosis
Unfortunately there is nothing available that actually 100% stops ticks from attaching in the first place. In the time it takes for the spot on to kill the tick there is still a slight chance that the disease could be transmitted. If your dog is spending time in an area that is a known tick habitat, prevention is the best course of action. Check your dog daily for ticks and remove them promptly using a tick remover. It is still advisable to use a spot on that kills ticks so that any you miss will fall off on their own.
How To Use Spot On for Dogs
- Remove one pipette from the packaging and whilst holding it in an upright position, carefully snap-off the top section thereby opening the tube.
- The solution needs to be applied in 2 points, the first ½ of the solution should be applied at the base of the back of the head. The second ½ of the solution, between the shoulder blades.
- Part the coat to expose the skin. Place the tip of the pipette on the exposed skin and squeeze approximately half of the tube gently onto the first application site, then repeat at the second site with the remainder of the liquid. Avoid rubbing the solution into the coat and do not rub into the skin.
